Interesting list. Some very good movies. Not sure any of the Disney movies belong. How about #1 or 2, The Natural? One of the best ever. Bull Durham.....

It takes way to long to load up any of these 'list' stories, so I didn't bother. However, I do hope 'Caddyshack' is on the list. Best movie about the best sport.

Oh my goodness. You left out Eight Men Out & Pride of the Yankees, which are #2 & #3 in my book. And on top of that, the greatest MOVIE about sports is Raging Bull. What kind of list is this...?

I'd put "Breaking Away" on the list, too.

Hoop Dreams, Secretariat, The Black Stallion, Bingo Long's Traveling All-Stars and Motor Kings, Grand Prix.....

"Pride of the Yankees" with Gary Cooper as Lou Gehrig is a classic. It is in my top '3'. It is a tear jerker and a great movie.

The intro article is incorrect. Mariano Rivera of the Yankees currently wears 42. Players with the number 42 when it was universally retired were allowed to continue wearing it for the rest of their careers.

I can't say anymore...I agree with everyone above about all those movies should be on the list. Another dumb list by the D-News but again they forgot to put Cael Sanderson and Gene Fuller on the original list of greatest athletes from Utah so what can we expect...

This is my second time posting this message --- let's see if it "takes" this time:

Pride of the Yankees, Eight Men Out, Brian's Song, The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh (OK, that last one is in jest).
