On Friday, Nancy Cordes of CBS News, opined that ten year old girls have a right
to access to Plan B. This is a matter of choice which clashes with "parental
rights". Let's use some common sense. Ten year old girls are not
emotionally developed enough to make such complex decisions in regard to birth
control. The Juvenile Code is a common sense hold on those who are almost
adults. Juveniles do not have rights outside of the family. They are not adults
and therefore do not have the rights of such. This holds for violent crime and
surely it holds as well for birth control. I believe that Mr. Obama used common
sense in having the administration use the "age of consent" as a cutoff.
Judge Korman is only one of 26 judges who are "Article III" for the
Eastern District Court of New York in Brooklyn. The first step is to poll all 26
judges and not just base the decision on the opinion of one judge.
