My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those Americans killed in Afghanistan.

Our goal was to destroy the AQ training camps and Bin Laden's sanctuary, and that has been done. We won. Declare victory, and bring all our people home. Immediately.

We must accept the reality that we cannot change the culture of this backward gaggle of tribesmen who live to fight with someone, anyone, and oppress women.

We tried our best, and our sons and daughters have served, suffered and sacrificed far more than can be justified for the remaining good that can be done. Yes, it will remain a poor, backward, illiterate and unsafe country, dominated by a religion that has different values than we do. We cannot change that, nor do we have any obligation to do so.

Leave now, but with the warning that if they mess with us in any way, we will inflict horrible destruction on them, regardless of any "collateral damage."

I've said it before, I'll say it again. The one good thing I thought would happen with the election of President Obama was that we would soon be out of those two wars that had run their course. Obama finally got us out of Iraq, but still hasn't gotten us out of Afghanistan. Very disappointing. I'm not saying Romney would have gotten us out yet, but we'll never know will we?
