    @CHS 85:

    You're joking. Right?

    Read between the lines. Do some research, and homework.

    You probably think our polical leaders are against poverty too.

    To "CHS 85" how about this "Missouri Democrats Introduce Legislation to Confiscate Firearms - Gives Gun Owners 90 Days to Turn in Weapons" at Fox News.

    From the Examiner "Minnesota Democrats pushing gun confiscation bill similar to Missouri's".

    From the Washington Times article "Sen. Feinstein suggests national buyback of guns" we read that "Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said that she and other gun control advocates are considering a law that would create a program to purchase weapons from gun owners, a proposal that could be compulsory." If it is a compulsory program to take guns away from owners, isn't that confiscation.

    Are 3 separate sources enough for you to believe that there are those in government that want to confiscate guns?

    @Counter Intelligence

    Where is the any credible source of information that says that the government is trying to take away our guns. Doing a Google search, I found a story by The Blaze, the NRA Chief, and other gun supporting organizations. I couldn't find one actual news story saying guns would be confiscated.

    I guess if you consider The Blaze to be credible news, then nothing I can say will change your mind.

    Yes, I'm a gun owner, a 20 year military veteran, concealed permit holder, and yes, I've been held up at gunpoint. Remember that the element of surprise NEVER favors the victim. All the tough gun talk in the world will never change that fact.

    @CHS 85
    Which government wants to take away your guns?
    Democrats - Obama - Joe Biden - Bloomberg - that government: Have you not been paying attention? (They have only backed off to background checks, etc. because they have failed at rallying support for banning firearms)

    I am NOT a gun person
    I don’t understand why anyone really needs anything other than a hunting rifle (and I am not really a fan of hunting either; but I understand its necessity)
    Yet the fact that virtually all of the last few major gun massacres have happened in "gun free zones" is a fact not lost on me. The principal in Newtown would have been far more effective if she had a gun - instead of sacrificing her body - in order to save children from a crazy man

    Most human suffering through out history, has come from the hands of government.

    Now governments want to take away our guns? I don't think so!

    In reality, the next step should be to require firearms training in schools by the 8th grade. You don't have to fear the unknown; you can learn to thrive with the right knowledge. Couple that with a year-long course on the Constitution and perhaps we can get this nation back on the right track.

    Really, an NRA study came to that conclusion? Couldn't you get a sutherland institute or heritage foundation study as well?
