According to the World Health organization; 2.5 million people die from alcohol related causes each year. !.7 million die from AIDS. According to Harvard; 180,000 die from soda related issues (which, by the way, is barely above 0% of the world population).
I agree that drinking less soda is a smart thing to do: But I wonder why soda bans are considered a progressive health policy, yet alcohol restrictions are considered a backward right-wing Utah religious oppression thing?
And why is it that so often, the pretentious anorexic/health conscious person in jogging tights wagging their finger at you for smoking within 1000 feet of them, is so often the same one who will trample you to death if you get between them and a glass of cheap chardonnay (or Budweiser, et.al.)
