This article nails it. The only thing that worries me for Alex at this point is the talent surrounding him. I still think he'll see success at KC, but getting to the playoffs and a super bowl won't happen right away without a deeper team. They do have some talent, just not enough of it in my opinion.
Now if the Chiefs will just draft Star.
Good luck to Alex, the classiest guy in the NFL.

Good for Alex. I hoe he is successful.

I think Alex will be alright, with a decent Offensive Line and of course Jamaal Charles and Dwayne Bowe, it's not much different than what he had in San Fran respectively. Jamaal Charles is a 2× Pro Bowl (2010, 2012, First-team All-Pro (2010). Dwayne Bowe and was both an All Pro and Pro Bowler 2010.

Defensively, it's not the same as it is in San Fran and that's where the offensive is going to have to win games for this team to make a playoff run.

Should be a solid season for the Chiefs. All I can say is that I hope KC makes Denver earn it. I don't believe the Raiders and/or San Diego will be very good this season.

Good luck Alex, from a 33 year Raider fan.

Go UTES!

Going to be hard pulling for my KC Chiefs with a Ute QB... just kidding.

Hope it works out for him. KC not a bad place to be.

Roger, KC's defense actually has the potential to be quite good with a lot of young talent plus some veterans thrown on this year. Brandon Flowers and Sean Smith should be a great starting CB tandem and Dunta Robinson is a great nickel with Javier Arenas also able to make big plays. Eric Berry is also great in the secondary, and Tamba Hali and Derrick Johnson are solid LBs. I think the success or failure of their defense will come down to how the D Line turns out. Really, it's a pretty similar situation Smith's walking into as when he helped pull SF back into Super Bowl contenders. The Chiefs aren't my team, but unless they are challenging my team for a playoff spot, I find them very easy to root for this year.

Trent Dilfer is Alex Smith's FRIEND? Since when? At every turn he criticizes him intensely.

Alex is a great guy, and should have had a better shot with the 9'ers. Getting dumped onto a perennial Super Bust, no-show team like KC is almost a fate worse than death.

I hope for the best for Alex; but won't become a Chiefs fan in the process.
