Take a deep breath, folks. Obama is selling us snake oil.
The Fed is already the primary customer of bonds; so much so that the market is very soft. The very concept of the QE-Eternal plan is to drive investors into the stock market. That's where the rate of return is.
Keep in mind this is an artificial market. The Fed already destroyed bank savings accounts by manipulating interest rates. (How else do you get a home loan for 3.5%?)
So...now Obama is inviting business to invest in bonds for government work.
What's wrong with this picture? And why would corporate money be enticed to invest in government projects when their money is safe from US tax rates offshore?
Exhibit A that Obama is clueless as to how the free market works.

We heard the same thing 4 years ago, right when barack said if given his first 787 BILLION spendathon unemployment would not reach 8%.

It soared to over 11%

Find some new material barack. Your comedy tour is repeating itself.

who is paying for all the public works goodies? I guess we just borrow a bunch more money or maybe just crank up the ole printer and print some more? It's pretty sad when the ONLY way to create new jobs is from the government ... the private sector is being choked to death by Obamacare so no new hiring going on there. Barack has been talking about new bridges and roads etc... shovel ready jobs ... for nearly 5 years now and the jobs have been pretty slim pickens. To a socialist it just seems so easy to print more money and fund more government jobs. Too bad the 'real' world doesn't work that way. My wife wants a new kitchen but we can't afford it right now ...I guess I could just max out a new CapitolOne credit card like our government does but somehow that doesn't seem too prudent in these economic times.

Liberals...will they ever change???

Remember the promises Obama made about millions of green energy jobs he would create? Never happened! All we got is billions of wasted taxpayer money on failed Solyndra type investments.

wouldn't it be refreshing...even WAY cool...if we actually heard this guy stand up and talk about something...other than government jobs or jobs created by government borrowed money? I mean can you imagine how it would feel to hear some success stories from private industry how big companies are expanding , hiring and building more plants. Wouldn't it be a breath of sweet fresh air to see unemployment back in the 6% range again and hear stories of how our national debt is 'actually' shrinking - not just the rate of growth slowing down. I get the sinking feeling that we may never see even 6% unemployment again and our national debt will be so impossibly high that we just sort of don't talk about it anymore because it's too depressing...especially for our kids sinking future. Barack is what he is and any mis-placed hope that he might ...just might have some common practical sense...are long gone by now. We see the predictable pattern...we follow the same ole campaign stops... we hear the same tired old talking points and fear mongering and it just feels really really old.

Enough already! He has done enough damage!
The government needs to stop taking our money and let the economy right itself.
The government ruins everything it touches and more of these taxing and spending mandates the longer it will take our economy to recover.
Just stop taking more of our money and let capitalism work.
Let our economy work!!!

I have lost all hope that this POTUS will honor the office he holds and govern like a true statesman. Unfortunately, he has his cronies and sycophants that enable his poor governance.

Public Works. Wasn't that one time called the WWW. Stories about one group of people going out to dig a ditch, then another group goes out to fill it up. Have we really come to this. Or I should say, gone back to that? By the way to all you Obama defenders, Obama originally called this stuff, "shovel ready jobs". It was supposed to happen with the stimulus. Even he admitted later that there were not as many of these jobs as he had hoped. The unions sure got their share of the 800 billion stimulus though. I remember when people said Reagan was the "teflon" President. Compared to Obama, Reagan was the velcro President. Nothing is sticking to this guy, and most of it is his fault. Houdini would be jealous of Obamas ability to escape.

This will continue the recovery started to keep the economy growing. Remember President Bush's speech indicating the economic sky is falling? Glad we reelected him to get the job done.

Too funny, it's like I accidentally tuned into hate radio.
You guys post the same exact thing on any title with Obama's name attached.
I don't know how you can stand to live in this country run by a dictator, socialist, racist.

So what was your guys answer to Americas Problems? Start another war, that worked out well.

Whats funny is how jealous you guys are of his ability to work and vacation.
