NO. It didn't work for "Head Start" and it won't work for
pre-K.What the Fed funds, it tries to micro-manage, which is exactly why
our education system is so mixed up. "Affirmativer Action", "No
child left behind" and teaching "Self Esteem" have not improved the
educational posture of the U.S. vs the world. Many of our youth are being
short changed by the stifling effects of Federal regulations. Much of our
Universities have to provide courses to enable students to matriculate and are
more likely to provide political indoctrination that a useful "life"
education. These people can't even balance a budget, and you
want them to take your children, almost from the womb, and teach them?
Nope, school funding should be decided on and funded by the states.
Didn't we just find out that the long term benefits of Head Start were
zero? Typical of big government to think we just didn't spend enough on it
last time.No to federal control of schools! No to state
funded babysitting in the name of preschool!Save that money for
those who are old enough to be ready for school, and use it to reduce class
