Maybe bo could be an example to palestinians and israelis by talking to the Republicans and actually working on something bipartisan. Instead of engaging from the bully pulpit and laying blame on everyone elses shoulders.

Who was it ripping Obama a week or so ago for meeting with GOP lawmakers over breakfast? I think the term "charm offensive" was used, and not in a complimentary way.

So what's Barack wearing on his head? Recall at Georgetown university Barack WOULD NOT speak until they REMOVED the CHRISTIAN CROSS. I would think that an 'actual' Christian would be honored to speak in front of a Christian cross....but maybe that's just me being logical.I look forward to Barack speaking at the Vatican....better start removing all the crosses now... Nice to see that Barack has NO problem speaking in front of the father of modern terrorism yasur arafat. These hypocrisies of Barack are so easy and plentiful to discover! I guess his liberalism just can't be helped.

Patriot.... why not go to source next time... such as Georgetown University (aka the source) when you want information..... oh wait... that would fit your "I hate everything about Obama narrative".

For those of you who want the full story - from Georgetown University itself;

"Julie Bataille from the university's press office e-mailed me that the White House had asked that all university signage and symbols behind the stage in Gaston Hall be covered.

"The White House wanted a simple backdrop of flags and pipe and drape for the speech, consistent with what they've done for other policy speeches," she wrote. "Frankly, the pipe and drape wasn't high enough by itself to fully cover the IHS and cross above the GU seal and it seemed most respectful to have them covered so as not to be seen out of context."

The Rev. Thomas Reese, a senior fellow at the Woodstock Institute at Georgetown University, who said he didn't think "this is motivated by theology, but by communications strategy."

... I know... not nearly as sensational sounding as Patriot's version.

Everything is symbolic for this President. Peace Prize, Hope and Change, Budgetary and Fiduciary responsibilities, immigration and birth certificates, owning and using a gun, etc.

I don't think it's possible to give the Peace prize to YOURSELF. Too bad there's no award for warfare they could have given Bush - "Mission Accomplished".

I am glad to hear of the events of Obama's visit to Israel. It appears that relationships are being strengthened between the two friends and allies. The US needs Israel, and Israel needs the US. Our relationship is mutually beneficial and crucial to remain strong.

I give credit to both Obama and Netanyahu to move beyond the tensions of the past few years.
