Outrageous!!!
We just pledged $500+ million in "aid" to Egypt yet we don't have enough money for American schools and American students? For the past decade we have thrown trillions away in the Middle East. Yet we are the ones making the sacrifices? When can we nation build... DOMESTICALLY? We definitely need it!
When is enough enough?
Obviously finances are a factor, but when the number of children attending school drops significantly, it makes sense to consolidate the schools and close some of them.
The purpose after all, is to educate the children, not employ union members.
And whose fault is this? How about laying the blame where it belongs: The State of Illinois and the city of Chicago!
Hmm? Teachers pay, dependent on test scores?
How about the State of Illinois, and the city of Chicago having their pay based on the economy management?
Time to close some agencies.
Hmmmm.....let's see....
Chicago: a town run by Democrats for (literally) decades.
Chicago: a town so broke it's closing FIFTY FOUR schools.
Nope, I don't see any connection at all there. No, sir-eee...
