Let me guess --

The plan of being the anti-Reagan small tent, exclusive party of rich, grumpy, old, Christian, white "Archie Bunker", guys didn't pan out as well as expected.

The GOP will be destined to failure for following this course. One thing they should have learned over the past 8 years is that you can't out Democrat the Democrat party.

If the GOP wants to get more people on their side, they need to do a better job of explaining why we should vote for them. A majority of the US is conservative, and they just need to hear a reason why we should vote for them. Just saying that they are not like the liberal canidate is not good enough.

To "airnaut" Archie Bunker was a Democrat.

Shirt seems to be saying that the GOP doesn't have to make any REAL changes at all, other than perhaps changing ad agencies to one that would do a better job of "selling" the message. That's a little like saying that the "Know Nothing" party would have triumphed had it just changed its name to the "Very Smart Guys". As it is, it seems the more people know about the GOP, the less they like it.

Before modifying the GOP leaders ought to read the platform.
Rove et al are turning their backs on the party itself when they endorse amnesty and same-gender marriage. That makes no sense.
