Mia Love isn't smart enough to be an effective mayor, candidate for Congress, or a Congresswoman. Go talk to her and see for yourself. Ask her about any issue and make her say something besides her practiced lines and sound bites. You'll see that she doesn't know the issues and really doesn't understand the problems that we face in Utah and the U.S. I'm no fan of Matheson, but Mia Love is not the answer. Not even close.

@banderson Stop trying to bring your God into politics. You demand the presence of God in this country but if someone tried to bring their version of God into politics and subject you to their whims, you would freak out. Stop doing it to others. The Bible says, "pray in your closets..."

Really: You have your opinion; I have mine. I still believe that most Americans want a limited government and a God-fearing citizenry, rather than an Anti-God socialistic government . Socialism is one step away from Communism and history has proven the ineffectiveness of either as a way to improve mankind. Europe is already seeing the decay and imploding of societies that were built on socialism. It is a failed system by any standard. The only reason America is struggling now is because for decades our leaders have supported socialistic policies. So much for societies built on positions where God is not the central figure in growth, prosperity, and happiness.

Why do you equate the absence of "God-fearing" in government to socialism? I do not fear God, nor do I believe in him/her/it, but I am not a socialist. Stop thinking that your belief system is somehow the answer to all our country's problems. I'll ask again, what if someone whose definition of God was different from yours began implementing policies and laws in our government reflecting his/her beliefs? How would you like it? What if a "God-fearing" Muslim or Jew or Hindu started exerting influence in our government? How would you like it?
One more thing, our country is not now and is not currently becoming "more socialist." I would ask that you educate yourself further on what socialism actually is before you start making statements like that.

Saudi Arabia
United Arab Emirates
Vatican City
These are places with growth, prosperity, and happiness?

Really: Socialism: a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole. (Dictionary.com). For the sake of argument, I'll accept that definition. For the sake or literacy, please explain how you are not a socialist and how you think that America has not turned to the failed ideas of socialism. Obamacare is just one of the latest examples of socialist thought. How is it that anyone with an understanding of economic systems could not come to the conclusion that America has been pushing through socialist ideas for more than a half century is beyond me. Please explain.

Happy Valley Heretic: The difference between the countries you mentioned and the United States is that, previous to the last 60 years of 'collectivist' thinking with no individual rights we have endured here, the United States has had a Constitution, a bill of rights, and certain 'unalienable' rights that were believed to come from God, not man. My God believes in light and liberty (individual rights). Not so with the ones you mentioned. Non-sequitur!

Look at how quick the lefty libs are to pounce.
This is how they fight.
They are non stop in their personal attacks.
See Romney.
They'll say and do anything to win, and the lefty media will back them up.

The Democrat party, fears more than anything, conservative minority candidates.
Live and learn Republicans, you better come to battle.
Chicago style politics are here to stay and Conservatives had better be ready.

Mia Love has had a great tenure as Mayor of Saratoga Springs.

Utah median household income: $55,000
Saratoga Springs median household income: $69,000

I know she'll make a great representative for the 4th district.

It's funny how people criticize the Tea Party for being extreme and non-compromising. This from people who will always vote for Matheson without truly knowing his record just because of his name. She'll win this time because people are fed up with the Democratic Party.
