Having lived there in the 1960s after a dictator left and their process for a legislative and executive government, hopefully, it won't be subverted by a despotic military person that takes control of everything in the country.

How honest are elections?

Our last presidential election had eleven districts with zero votes for Romney. Surely with millions of votes, Romney would get at least one vote. He got zero in Philadelphia?

I know what you mean, Worf. Little by little we lose our freedoms because our people don't understand what liberty really entails, involvement and not sitting on the sidelines doing nothing but getting entitlements after generations. When we lived in the east side of St. Louis, in Illinois for 9 years, there was a city that went from a city like Provo to being impoverished and a mayor so corrupt the State Police took over that jurisdiction due to crime and corruption. Illinois had the big lottery process that included the whole state. Iowa and Missouri didn't have a lottery so all of the people from St. Louis came to the Illinois side several days of the week to buy tickets. Then Missouri and Iowa started the Lottery on their own to get money or dollars for educational purposes, quote unquote. They also started gambling boats to pull out into the Mississippi river to get around gambling rules. Illinois then made the city that was impoverished into a casino town to make money for that city. Welfare people moved into Illinois in the 1960s with public housing as Illinois had extremely good payouts. Families split as they make more.

Re: worf

Is that true? Romney got no votes in Philly? Sounds impossible, but it would be great if true. It would tell much about voting corruption in this country which I believe is much more of a problem than most believe. I'd like to know if there were any districts in Utah that had no Obama votes. It would surprise me if there were.

History has shown that any leader of a country who wears a military uniform while being the elected leader usually means bad things. I love the American military, but even a great military leader has to take off the uniform before running for office. Ike was a good example.
