Thanks Andrew. It was easy.
Yo good job wasatch academy! You guys are the best!
Klb photos,If you were from Wasatch Academy you would know.
How do I watch on my iPad?
The radio station that broadcast is locally located in Manti/Richfield. It
serves these communities. Richfield, Manti, Gunnison, Mt.Pleasant, Salina, So.
Sevier (central teams) when Gunnsion plays, the color is done by a local
Gunnison person, sponsored by the Gunnison community, therefore, Gunnison pays
to have the game on air. The local folk who stay home and listen to the games
like all the extra's because they personally know these young people
playing and appreciate the details. Some of the announcers even have kids that
play. I think they do a pretty good job complimenting the opposing teams. If the
opposing teams had their own announcers it wouldn't be any different, or
offered a dual sponsorship (Ditto cactus) However, in some situations like the
girls Gunnison vs Kanab game yesterday, it was dual sponsored and the radio
announcers did a great job being complimentary for both teams! Good Luck to the
Gunnison Bulldogs and which ever team (Wasatch or SS) as they advance to play
for STATE!!! :)
I agree that the commentary can be rough to listen to, but don't let that
overshadow the video. I quickly found the mute option and appreciate the effort
to stream live coverage.
Sportfanz I am not sure but I think that the same feed for live streaming is
going over the radio as well. That might be why they are trying to give more
descriptive color commentary.
I have to agree with luvsports and Me, Myself, and I. It is so so much about
being bias but I would rather not listen to personal thoughts and comments
throughout the entire game. I simply would like to know who shot, who fowled,
and ect. It is also somewhat distracting when every other comment is 'that
was a bad call', 'there not the strongest shooters', and
'wow that shot was clearly way off.' Just because you are not
announcing to the crowd at the game does not mean there are no fans watching.
luvsports I was cheering for S. Summit in their game vs. Gunnison. I
think the bias is more a central Utah bias not northern or southern. I think the
announcers don't do it purposefully. Most of the radio and live stream guys
I've got to know a little are good guys but, when there are questionable
calls etc they're going to stick with their team(s). Lastly, I really want
to see someone knock of Wasatch Academy and I think S. Sevier is the only team
who can, but I haven't seen many of the northern teams play this year. Good
luck to all!
Re: luvsports comments about the announcers being biased -- what do you expect?
The radio station that serves the towns that the southern schools are in
provides the announcers as part of their radio broadcast. If the northern
schools want announcers biased their way, they should buy ads and send their
local station to cover the games.
I would sure be nice if the people announcing the games were not so biased!!!
They are obviously cheering for all of the southern teams. I noticed this last
weekend as well during the 2A boy's games.
Everything looks and sounds great guys. Just one thing,if its possible could you
move the score board to the upper right hand corner instead of lower right. As
it sits the Riverton Chevy banner covers up the visitors score.
