From this article one would get the impression that everyone involved in these hearings spoke in favor of an amnesty plan. Surely Vargas and Napolitano are advocates of legalization.
But there are others who can speak about the other side of this problem. Were they not invited to speak? Or were they not reported on by this AP journalist?
This is funny.
You have people who are petitioning the government to make immigration easier. The government created the bureacracy that is making it so difficult for people to immigrate legally.
Think of it this way. This is like asking a criminal to do something about reducing the crime rate. Would you believe that it will happen?
Vargas was caught last year with an expired fraudulent drivers license, and two fake green cards.
He also demanded that congress not call him illegal.
You get the American dream by coming through the front door. Not coming here through the back, and demanding what is not yours.
