He's the biggest idot in Congress
he is a joke alright.
Jason is great on the issues, and it is nice to see his sense of humor as well, when he is trying to be funny.
On the other hand, If Joe Biden was still in the Senate, he would have won this award without a doubt. Of course, Joe Biden's funny comments are all unplanned, inadvertent, and reflect a shocking ignorance of facts.
I think we are better off with Jason as the funny man, rather than "Slow Joe."
Its interesting that the D-News allows people to take such pot shots at public figures and at something they know so little about which shows how ignorant they are, but we can't condemn them for their poor taste. Jason is one of the only sane ones back there!
Doogie, you apparently NEVER read the comments or have you missed the hourly pot shots of ignorance directed at the president in every other article for since he was elected, including the renamed and misleading headlines.
Jason is a tool, and seeks attention from any and every media source he can.
*'Chaffetz blasts federal pay raises, except his own' - By Becky Bruce - DSNews - 11/10/10
'Each member of the House and Senate earned $174,000 this year. (sic)
When asked whether $174,000 is too much, Chaffetz pointed instead to the overall congressional budget and said it needs to be revamped.
"It doesn't mean that everybody's going to get an individual pay cut," Chaffetz said."
Way to 'rally' against big government spending there.
He's funny all right. But "funny" has many potential different meanings.
It is great to see so many Obama supporters discussing their support of the new 4th District Congressman who doesn't live in the district he represents.
Name-calling, the last bastion of the uneducated. Jason is as intelligent as anyone there and probably more honest. He does speak his mind and you know where you stand with him. A person may disagree with some of his stands, but you know you can trust him. And that's more than you can say about many of the people in Congress.
Name-calling, the last bastion of the uneducated. - Monsieur le prof
Please research what Jason Chaffetz called a TSA agent while going through a security check.
April 2011.
@monsieur
You mean Jason that tweeted about the boy that he falsely claimed was strip searched by TSA, that honest and intelligent Jason?
Chaffetz is honest, open and well spoken. He's not as intimidated by the powerful liberal press in this nation. He actually has a sense of humor. It's good to see a dose of humanity inject into politics instead of all the uncivil behavior. He was a democrat and comes from a family of democrats (he;s is related to Michael Dukakis ). He understands democrats.
Dear Tolstoy: The video proved that Jason was telling the truth about the TSA incident. That is a fact. Apparently you missed that.
Dear Phranc: If I didn't even know how to spell "all right" I wouldn't be calling anyone else a joke!
JWB - actually, thanks to some fancy Republican gerrymandering, Jason is now actually a resident of the district he didn't live in before they gerrymandering was completed.
He only speaks the truth when he "jokes"?
Chaffetz openly JOKES about a Congress that has done nothing?? Is that a point of pride for this Mormon from Utah that isn't from Utah?
Utahns should be proud of the laughter Chaffetz truly receives from legislators from other states and it's not his joke telling, it's him.
I disagree with his politics probably close to 100%, but it sounds like he has a good sense of humor.
Jason Chaffetz has a great sense of humor - wish many others had the same. He can be serious when needed but he has enough sense to know when it is appropriate to be funny....I like him and I believe he has a lot to offer in the future.
