or is this just another chance for you to take a cheap shot at religion?

So much for tolerance.

There is only one God and he is MY God.

That's just plain pathetic.

Leave Pagan alone. We are all used to his attitude about religion and religious people.

But all I can say about the LCMS position is "Wow."

I would never have a problem with my church joining with other Christians or non-Christians in causes of common interest and concern that transcend religious differences. I am grateful that it does so. An interfaith vigil wouldn't ask anyone to worship any deity or take part in any other religion's ordinances or sacraments, only to reach out to their brothers and sisters of various beliefs to comfort each other.

In a time of shared tragedy (or shared joy), it's very sad that any denomination's first thought might be, "We shouldn't join in with other people because someone might think we are watering down our beliefs."

You seem to be reading a lot into pegan's comment that is not there, maybe the problem is not pegan.

To those of you who are still wondering why teacher/administrator/clergy led prayer is no longer allowed in school - thus would be why.

How truly sad.

lets be honest all western religions believe they are superior and that all other religions are wrong, at least this particular sect is honest about it.
