Possibly by 2050, the United States will no longer have a majority of people of northern European ancestry. Those of Hispanic ancestry will be the largest "minority" group followed by African-Americans and Asian-Americans. It's a fact of changing demographics.
Republicans need to acknowledge this reality and develop ideas and policies to address the concerns of these people. Gerrymandering congressional districts, disenfrisement of opposition voters, attempts to change state laws regarding electoral vote determination, increased SuperPac money and hostile campaign tactics will continue to fail.
Fiscal responsibility is not a greed-based approach helping the rich get richer and the poor picking up the bill. It is a balanced program of realistic spending and revenue to achieve the necessary requirements of the nation. Somewhere along the line, Republicans became the party of old, angry, white men supporting the financial interests of wealthy, old, white men.
