We all know what he did was wrong. That's morality. But religion makes it OK?
Hutterite,
No, religion does not make it okay. But we usually do cut folks a bit more slack who do foolish things when trying to overall do right.
What did he do wrong, Hutterite? Getting duped by someone is wrong? Being too trusting is wrong? This article gives very good insight into the issue.
Samoan culture is not an Asian culture. Pacific Islanders are not Asians! It's its own, distinct, culture.
I'd really like to have someone explain what this young man did that was "wrong". And then explain how it is wrong compared to child molestation (Sandusky) and years of blood doping and covering it up/threatening others with lawsuits (Armstrong). Te'o has been mentioned in the same article as both of these people, and there is just simply no comparison.
This is just such a non story, that grows legs every single week. If you want to condemn this kind of behavior, I suggest you go find something important to do...
I totally agree with the writer of this article. I have been saying exactly what he wrote to others as well. Until you understand the culture and the religeon..he should not be judged by others as he has. Given his culture and religeon..this entire silly episode is very plausible.
