I only served in the Army, not the Marines but I have to ask, WHY is there any concern over women going into combat?
They have been serving in combat regardless. This just makes it official.
This survey is a glimpse into what possible reaction may be, but not a iron clad guarantee.
I'm sure people felt the same when blacks were integrated into our military service. But the people who put our country before racism persevered.
Remember other claims? That allowing gay service members would harm 'moral' of the military?
It was proven, an empty claim as well...
'Pentagon study dismisses risk of openly gay troops' - By Anne Flaherty - AP - Published by DSNews – 11/30/10
Facts only please.
The facts are that men and women are different. As much as liberals would like us to believe that every person alive is truly equal, that is not the case.
Although some women have been put in dangerous positions in the military before, they are not regularly part of the front lines and put in combat positions. That is because they are NOT equal to men.
Let me use an example.
Let's say the Miami Heat kicked everyone off their team except for Lebron James and brought in 11 WNBA players to play with him. After all, he should have no problem since liberals tell us that men and women are equal correct?
Wrong.
Those on the front lines rely on their fellow troops to protect them. And YES, they rely on the physical traits of their fellow troops to protect them. It is not simply desire that gets the job done. And men and women are different physically.
If men and women truly were equal, we'd see some women dominating in the NFL and NBA. But there aren't. Because they aren't. Don't force a WNBA player on the NBA heat.
I'll add that my argument above could apply to why there are legitimate concerns about homosexuals being in the military as well. Same reason.
Women have less strength, and would require help that would endanger a man during combat.
