I wonder what action the GOP will take after this 'soul searching' to
help our country?Ban video games?
Are they looking for a soul or just trying to find out how to convince Americans
that they have one?
Keep searching for your souls GOP, who knows where they are by now.
What is no doubt on the agenda are plans in several states to alter electoral
voting to reflect House districts, magically giving GOP candidates the majority
despite being outvoted statewide. Mr. Priebus, unable to win one the old
fashioned way, can hardly contain himself over this one. It's in process
now in VA and PA. While they're at it, they can award the coveted
"Hater of the Year" broken beer bottle. Hatch is in the running for
"Obstructionist of the Year".
Agenda items:1) Reverse opposition to reforming or dropping the
Electoral College now that we lost again.2) Find more effective ways
to disenfranchise anyone who might vote against us.3) Seek more money
from corporate people.4) Add paranoia germs to drinking water
nationwide5) Cut funding to NPR and PBS while increasing funding for
selected AM radio stations6) Find better ways to gerrymander 7)
Research into more effective ways of confusing voters8) Find a more
effective way to say NO9) Buy an even stronger leash for our next
Presidential candidate10) Rehabilitate Sarah Palin11) Defund public
education to prevent educated future voters12) Legalize fully automatic
weapons in hopes they will be used to shoot only liberals13) Bow down more
deeply to the NRA and other organizations we're afraid ofYup.
They have a lot of hard work to do . . . .
Soul-searching..."...no clear path forward...".Not to worry...much more of the same should work fine..."...divided as ever...".When the gop is perfect in every
way...why would the gop be divided..."...improve the Republican
brand...while not upsetting hard-line conservatives...".Whatever
the gop does, let's hope they do not upset the hard-line
conservatives..."...alienated so many people...".Not so...more demonizing will 'un-alienate' those who were
alienated..."...need to abandon harsh rhetoric on illegal
immigration, women's issues and the social safety net...".No need to abandon harsh rhetoric on those who deserve it..."...marginalizing grassroots supporters who favored presidential
candidates like former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, Minnesota Rep. Michele
Bachmann or Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul...".America can only hope
that santorum and bachman will continue to be the presidential face of the gop
and that paul will continue to win over potential voters. "...Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, a conservative
favorite...".More political cowbell?I rest my case!
