Obviously, Obama's speech did not focus on economic growth because there has been no economic growth under his watch. Indeed, his socialistic policies have inflicted severe harm on the economy.

The irrefutable fact is that Obama and the rest of the left-wing don't want businesses to prosper because that causes people to be less reliant on government. The left wants people dependant on entitlement programs for survival because that increases the size and power of government.

The left has taken tax dollars away from hard working Americans and has used the money to bribe the gullible for their votes. Obama is not yet ready to openly declare this, which is the real reason he failed to adequately address the economy in his speech.

Must have listened to a different speech. Selective hearing is a degenerative disease. Perhaps there is confusion between the broad reach of an inagural speech is more visionary and covers a range of ideas compared with the specifics of the State of the Union speech yet to come.

Please note. President Obama will not be running for another term as POTUS. The election is past. Mitch McConnell and the Republican Party's priority to make Barack Obama a one-term president failed. Michelle Bachmann's priority to overturn Obamacare failed. Mitt Romney lost. Let's have spirited, bur relevant, debate on issues going forward.

Actually, there has been modest economic growth under President Obama, quite good considering where we were. While we're still in a liquidity trap, more stimulus money would probably fuel enough growth to get us past this logjam of sub 7.5% unemployment. What we must do is continue to resist the massive budget cuts that seem to be Beltway conventional wisdom. The last thing we need is to pull more money out of the economy. Since we do not in fact have a massive spending problem, let's work to fix the problem we do have--high unemployment.

Regan tripled the national debt.

W. Bush doubled the national debt.

Obama, has not done either.

Bush raised the debt ceiling 7 times.

Obama? 3 times.

W. Bush bailed out the banks in 2008.

When Clinton left office, national unemployment was 4%.

When President Obama first took office, it was 7.8%.

Guess what President was in-between?

It was not a Democrat.

The reason The King did not mention any plans about the economy is he has none, has had none, and does not know anything about it. What he does know is how to spend other peoples money. Socialism!!!! He knows how to herd the sheeple. I know it has to be Bushes fault.

Again mollkkat your complete miss use of terms renders your argument mute. Maybe if you have to twist words to the point of nonsense you should rethink your argument.

To "Pagan" why do you worship Obama. He is just Bush on steroids.

Bush raised the debt by nearly $4 trillion in 8 years. Obama added that much in 3.

Bush gave us the Patriot Act, Obama made it permanent.

Bush gave us Afghanistan and Iraq, Obama gave us Libya, Syria, and Africa.

Bush got Sadam, Obama got Osama.

Bush gave us Medicare drugs, Obama gave us Obamacare.

Why worship Obama when he is the same as the man you hate so much?

@ George in the Bronx. I will try in the future to add drawings to my comments so you can more easily understand. I apologize because I did know that some folks have a hard time understanding text without illustration.

Who said I worship Obama?

People who lie.
