Guns keep us safe?
This 15 year old child went into his parents closet and killed them with their own gun.
Background checks for any guns, ammo limits, a required gun safe would have kept this family alive.
If they only had guns to protect themselves....
Get a taser.
And somehow, the solution to this is supposed to be more guns?
Insanity, thy name is NRA.
Apparently the above posters did not read the entire article. Please reference last paragraph.
Here something for you to think about. There were 10,000 more alcohol related deaths in 2010 than gun related deaths. Why are we not worrying about this?
BYUfan, we are. That's why the Utah DABC exists along with all those regulations enforcing distribution, sale and possession of alcohol.
Why can't we do the same for guns?
Alcohol is regulated.
Guns are not.
The fact that someone was concerned this would be politicized is not as unfortunate as the murdered family.
You don't want to talk about guns?
Then we SHOULD have talked about it before this family was killed.
Not after.
To "Pagan" stop being a troll.
Guns are regulated. In fact, they are highly regulated.
If you go to a gun shop right now, tell us if you can just pick out your gun, buy it, then walk away. Or, do you have to pass a background check first?
Highly regulated?
Then why can I go to a gun show and purchase any gun.
Cash.
