Comments about ‘A Muslim reflection on Dr. King's legacy of peace through words’

Words. Words can convey so many ideas and beliefs and intentions. King was about peace, Islam's words of peace ring hollow. Followers of Islam may speak of peace but remain silent of the atrocities caused by their Muslim brothers/sisters in the form of terrorism, religious persecution against Christians worldwide, including stateside (Dearborn, MI). We are foolish to believe that Islam is anything more than a political system cloaked in religious robes pretending to be open to other beliefs. (Is that why a family of a single parent home - a mother and seven children) were sentenced to 15 years in prison because they converted to Christianity...years ago by the Muslim Brotherhood? This article may come across as an attempt to convey oneness in feelings, but frankly, it couldn't be further from the truth. Which world religion denigrates and devalues women? Which world religion encourages honor killings? No, Islam is not what its followers attempt to sell to the rest of us. We are foolish to believe otherwise.
