Under Don't Ask, Don't Tell 32,000 troops were discharged from the military under dishonorable conditions. It cost the US tax payer over one billion dollars to enforce this rule for 17 years.
The claim, which was later proven false by the Pentagon study was that knowing one served in the military alongside homosexuals would somehow harm troop 'morale'.
And yet, we have a string of affairs and sodomy by very much Heterosexual troops.
