Its not that being elderly is causing them to be more susceptible to flu, its the over medication and medial depletion of ones own body immune system is the reason the elderly have so much of the diseases going around. The elderly are also a major source of revenue for the health care industry so they tend to be over active in over prescribing medications that they don't really need and weakens their immune defenses, a desired outcome.
Children on the other hand have not developed their own defenses of flu and colds and over treating them prevents their little bodies from developing its immune system. I think that the health care industry has made it an objective of health care, prevent the human immune system from developing.
All the health care ads and lies on TV it is very apparent that curing is not the goal of medication, they are subduing ones resistance to other serious infections and complications. When death and organ failure is the risk of compromise, then it is suicidal to consume these drugs. And they call themselves doctors who live by the hypocrite's oath that kills the people in their care.
