The Senate is NEVER going to pass a budget as long as Harry Reid and the Democrats control things. They don't even know what a budget is....

@Justmythoughts
More like the senate is never going to pass a budget because Republicans keep filibustering it. The House wouldn't have a budget either if it needed 60% of votes on everything.

dont say never say how to do it. the first thing we should do is get our people out of the waistefull wars that made most of the red ink anyway. osama is dead. we won. now protect at home and other places that will not turn on us. cut both defence and social increase but do not get rid of our ss. or medicare. some of us have paid into it our whole lives and may need it. cut people from other countries from getting these things if they have not paid into them. we have millions of people from other countries on medicaid and ss. and they have put nothing into the system and may never. our people should be the first ones to get help. some working class americans cant afford insurance and are not poor enough for meicaid while someone that juast got here is getting surgey in my hospital foe free on the american nice card.

What a surprise. The Republican controlled House caves once again.

And after the 3 months they'll cave yet again.

Why don't the Republicans who "talk the talk" "walk the walk"?

Republicans (my party, BTW)keep blustering but they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to put a damper on Obama's spending plans!

Common sense and reason prevails! This is great news for the country.

the senate has not passed a bill since when? I could have sworn the the Bouner, the gop and the far right where complaining just short couple week ago because the senate passed a budget bill which the house voted for after the senate had to do their job for them. What did I miss?

Yes, the Republicans will cave because they're not in total control of all branches of government. Unless one party has total control, they must learn to work together (sort of like the founders designed it - how novel!).

But I'm afraid the House will continue to let the perfect be the enemy of the good - just like they did last year when they could have struck a so-called grand bargain of $3 or $4 of spending cuts for every $1 of tax increases.

But that wasn't "perfect" so instead our wise leaders got us only tax increases on Jan 1st.

Thanks guys... keep up the bad work.

This is the same House that could not pass legislation on the fiscal cliff and punted over to the Senate. Just another reminder of how the GOP governs, or lack thereof!

The House passed legislation in December regarding the fiscal cliff but Harry Reid refused to take up the bills. The House & the GOP have done their job, but the Democrat Senate continues to fail Americans by failing to debate, discuss, and legislate. In my opinion Reid is the worst Senate Majority Leader the US has had in recent memory.

That word hostage is applicable to the president and the Harry Reid clan of criminals. If anyone is holding the economy hostage it is the senate and president who are destroying the credibility of this country and the amreican people.

What is going to make things worse is that Germany is demanding the withdrawal and return of its gold from our banks and financial industry. This loss of collateral to Germany and borrow money or will be the demise of the presidents lifestyle and this country's banks and stock markets. The Obama administration is fighting Germany to stop them but we can't stop them all from taking their money home.

Germany is just the beginning, when France, Switzerland, China, and other nations start withdraeing collateral holdings we use to borrow money for the US then we can thank Obama/Reid criminals.

Other nations are wising up now and the rest or our collapse will be history, the 16 Trillion Dollar Platinum coins will be the end of borrowing and nail in the coffin of our financial industry.

@david
when exactly in december did the house pass this bill? I have heard this claim before but never been able to substantiate it.
