Dan may have to access the medical system when he injures his shoulder patting himself on the back!
There may be good solutions out there somewhere. But good solutions will not leave anyone hanging out with no access to health care as has been the case for far too long.
There may be good solutions out there somewhere. But given the dismal record of Utah's legislature when it comes to exercising common sense, I have some trouble being confident they will find any.
It does not matter how good the Medicaid program is in Utah if there is little access. It is almost impossible to get coverage if you happen to be poor out of work and male. Utah should expand its medicaid coverge as provided for by the AHA, just like Arizona has done and for the same reasons.
The Utah Department of Health can't manage to keep people's Medicaid information secure as it is. I really don't think exposing even MORE people to the threat of identity theft due to mishandling of medical information is very good idea, do you?
