Is it possible for politics to exist without vice; has it ever in recorded history not been a part of civics.
I agree with this DN Editorial opinion.
Vice is like any other commodity being bought and sold in a Capitalist market.
Arresting the Growers, Dealers and Prostitutes is like,
firing the workers in a Factory.
The "businessmen" will just find and hire other workers.
If you want to close the business once and for all,
you have to go after the business men who run it.
That is not going to work. Just ask the FBI to see if it is working with the Mafia. It may hamper their abilities but as long as the want for sex, gambling, drugs exists; there will be people who will try and find that need.
"vice". How quaint.
Typical Deseret News reporting. There is always an opinion about news related to sex, but when it comes to an important issue, like the current gun debate, there is nothing but silence. Why is the news about a moral issue more important to the editorial staff than the researched facts point out that 30,000 people in America will die from gun violence? The President said, "We can do better." I wish the Deseret News could do better! Editorializing on sexual morals when a critical life and death issue is in the news, makes me wonder about the moral fiber of the Deseret News.
Dent in Vice. How cute.
Why do some call a vice the 'oldest profession?'
