Still Grand? Why would we expect anything else from him. He does things grand. Taking the country down the tubes in grand style. Sould it be any different than his $7million vacation? Typical Socialist spend other peoples money. What a sham.
Much of the inauguration expenses are funded privately, but it sounds as though mo wouldn't be happy until it's held in a phone booth. BTW, did he complain about the Bush inauguration? Now THERE was a guy who could pile up the bills.
His extortion of elite supporter's money is laughable and shameful. The president should put a sign on the White House lawn - For Sale.
Totally agree with mohokat. Makes me long for true leadership like we had with George W. Bush! We need the Tea Party to help us take our country back!
@Mark B Much funded Privately? I doubt it but as I said spending other peoples money. And you are right Bush did spend way to much. While we are at it how is the spending in CA. Now there is a train wreck. But you all sure know fiscal responsibility when you see it. No wonder you defend the King.
The inauguration comes with the job. Romney would have had one, too, and everyone here would have fawned all over it.
We won't go broke paying for inaugurations, and, yes, certain large corporations are known to throw in money. You know - freedom of speech. Thanks for asking about CA, though it has little to do with my post. Isn't it great to know that the deficits here are WAY down from the previous GOP administration?
@ mohokat: Actually, California has a budget surplus this year.
And are you really claiming that if I give you $30 to spend on your birthday and you actually spend it as I requested, you are doing something wrong? Really?
His inauguration will be a lot like four years ago. After for years we are still hoping for a change.
Now come on. You all know that no president prior to Obama held any inauguration events. That Obama! Had a big party 4 years ago and here he's doing it again. Why isn't he more like Bush and Reagan who just meekly and quietly took the oath of office in the Oval Office with no one around and then got right to work. Didn't spend one penny, those guys. You know, Reagan took office in the middle of a recession, so for sure he wouldn't have had a big party, right?
