Here is something funny. People in the 30k and above range are getting pay checks - first of the year - with LESS take home pay. Say what??? Yes my uninformed liberal friends your taxes just got jacked up - specifically your payroll taxes. But wait - Barack promised that only the rich would see a tax increase and you believed him. Surprise surpirse. Can't blame the GOP for this one guys but I'm sure you will try - this is all on your liberal messiah. Enjoy your smaller pay check for the rest of 2013. Maybe if you work really hard you can get a raise and get back to what you were getting before 2013... but I doubt it because there will be more tax increases sure to come from your tax-a-holic president. And you all thought you were exempt. HA!! Maybe you are consided rich if you make more than... oh say 15k per year in the mind of a communist.
It's pretty discouraging when the Senate can't pass a simple bill to appropriate money to assist the victims of Hurricane? Storm? Sandy without adding in billions of dollars of pork. It suggests what we all know- America is incapable of course correction. I don't just blame the politicians. I blame the people. We're all guilty of voting for more government spending without voting to pay for it. We're going to pay the piper- and sooner rather than later. I'm afraid it may be ugly when it all collapses.
We can't have it both ways-more government-less govenment interferance. Government will never do a self correction. The stock market has a hard time making a self correction. It is amazing that we all keep saying the same thing an expecting our leaders to hear and understand. We need to do what the Constitution allows for-the people to make the needed changed to ensure this Nations will survive. Why are all the smart people not calling for a Constituional convention?
Two thirds of the states can amend the Constitution and get rid of this Congress's inability and unwillingly to do what is needed for the good of the Country-not their own political needs.
Yes, Red, it is discouraging. Especially so when we learn from an article in Forbes Magazine (Google it: Forbes disaster relief pork) that the pork that was added to the disaster relief bill is all going to some southern REPUBLICAN states. It was the only way House leadership could be assured that a filibuster wouldn't be mounted by GOP members of the Senate.
Give a Republican Senator enough money and he'll vote for anything.
