$16 trillion in debt already, and we MUST, simply MUST approve all these give-away programs IMMEDIATELY, buried in a 154 page bill that the Senate had exactly THREE MINUTES before voting to approve it, in the wee hours of New Years Day.

Bravo to Mike Lee for voting against this obscene thievery from our children who are being handed the bill for our unsustainable borrowing. And, our other Senator, for life, who is so powerful and all-knowing did not lift a finger to stop this obscenity from hurtling through the Senate.

No wonder neither Obama nor Congressmen want to let the public have time to see what is in bills before they are voted on. They should be ashamed of themselves. But, most politicians have no shame.

I am not surprised at this....our country is being run by a bunch of political animals. I wonder who elected them since they knew what they were getting....people straight out of Chicago politics. We are in deep trouble...look at the same deep mire with our new Health Control Law. Our Constitution is being torn asunder.

@ DN Subscriber 2 and Elcapitan: The tax incentives/breaks included in this bill are renewals - they have been on the tax books for years. The film one is probably the most recent one - and it has been on the books since 2004. (Including electric motorcycles in the break for electric vehicles is new, but the break itself is not.)

And I thought the Republican talking point was that we need to let businesses keep their money instead of stealing it from them for redistribution?

Once again you prove that many tea-party Republicans have no interest in what is best for this Country and no interest in supporting their "talking points" but are only concerned with finding fault with anything and everything President Obama does.

Once again, the answer is a flat tax for individuals and businesses alike, with no loopholes. It is the only fair way for all.

BOTH political parties are culpable in allowing pork to be stuffed into the fiscal cliff legislation.

McConnell and Biden put the bill together then McConnell gives the senators 6 minutes to read 154 pages before they have to vote on it.

Obama SAYS he wants to cut spending. WHY didn't he demand the pork got removed before he signed it?
I see the "fiscal cliff" legislation as yet another time where our esteemed elected leaders from BOTH parties think the public is too stupid to notice what they're doing.

Guess the 1% got their tax breaks after all(film producers and race track owners). Meanwhile my payroll taxes have gone up. I thought Obama promised that taxes on people making under $250K a year would not go up. Oh well, he will get a pass even thought we were lied to.
