You can't fire the team so the coach is the sacrifice. If only head coaches could catch passes, hit receivers, pass block and sack QBs.
I hear there is a OC job at BYU available.
Hey Andy---retire from the NFL and come show BYU what a decent offense looks like. Bronco could sure use some advice!
This may be good for Andy. It'll give him time to spend with his kids. That is not a bad thing.
I can't figure out why BYU fans think that Andy Reid has any remote interest in the BYU OC job, assuming it will be open (Bronco has already stated that Doman will be back).
My guess is that he will be back in the NFL as a head coach in 2014.
Reed is a victim of political correctness. He has been doomed to play with a series of quarterbacks that could not play the position but they did fill a quota. With a capable quarterback he would still have is job.
Now Reid can come coach byu to a bunch of national titles.
1. Reid will coach in the NFL next year.
2. He will make more than $5 million in salary.
3. He has no interest in the political jumbo-gumbo in Utah County.
In the famous words, of the immortal Chris B...write it down!!!
Hey Bronco, dump Doman and hire Reid as offensive coordinator. Then, if you depart, Reid can take the reins. Genius!!
@Wayne Rout: You got it right. It is never ending in the mentality of the Country.
2013 Predictions:
1. Andy Reid will NOT coach at BYU.
2. Some BYU fans will NEVER stop whining.
3. Bronco stays at BYU following the 2013 season.
4. Whittingham will leave Utah after the 2013 season.
5. Utah State will post another winning season in 2013.
6. Boise State wins the MWC in the 2013 season.
As much as I would love to see Reid in Provo, it is not going to happen, he is too big of a commodity for an NFL to pass on. He will stay in the NFL and make big money. Go Cougs.
I think Reid being fired will be a good thing for Reid. It seems like his mojo in Philly is gone and he needs to spend more time with his family. Then come back with a new time and show your chops. But sometimes parting ways is good for both parties and I think this will be the case for the Eagles and Reid. The firing that perplexes me is Lovie Smith with the Bears. He has done a good job and won 10 games...
Reports are out that Andy is coming West, to coach Kevin Kolb and the Cardinals, one step closer to Provo.
Lovie Smith to my Buffalo Bills!
