The volunteer mentoring is a good idea but that will not fix the core problem of children who have been harassed and jeered for years by 300 peers and unable to vent his anger and frustrations.

Bully's and harassment in schools are not puppy love nips and bites, bullies are outright aggressive acts to intimidate and challenge of power. Anger is human nature for children to harass and be harassed and respond with defensive aggression at bullies and physically challenging peers. Schools and education must do more to allow childhood anger to be expressed when it happens or we end up with children going postal with years of anger they have been forced to withhold. A childhood of anger and mockery is powerful anger and a time honored tradition that harassment is met with defensive response in children by those who have yet to learn anger management and respect for others.

It doesn't take a mentally disabled child to vent his anger at the end of a gun as some schools and government are portraying. The adult population is the old students in emotional stressed that never learned any anger management skills and respect for others.
