I have been to China 3 times. That doesn't make me an expert but it does give me some experience with life there. In spite of communism (from each according to their ability and too each according to their need),there are a lot of very poor people there and quite a very wealthy people, most of whom are in the government bureaucracy. Little private property ownership, can only parent one child and taxes are very high on any private enterprises what few there are. Very secular progressive ideology so religion is heavily controlled by the government. Ideal society if you love big government! If you love freedom, self reliance and personal achievement, not a good place to live. Their economy is booming and unemployment is very low but so are wages and benefits, except for those in their massive government aristocracy.
