Comments about ‘Robert Bennett: Will Medicare Part D be a financial solution?’

This op ed by Sen. Bennett makes sense and is apparently accurate. But that's the problem. Accuracy and making sense are anathathematic to the Tea Party. You simply can't have a Senator who tells the truth and uses common sense in office.

Hence, the reason the good Senator was drowned in a tea cup.

But, if you belong to the Tea Party all is well. We have Mike Lee who lacks Bennett's admirable qualities in there now.

Whoopee!

The Tribune just reported that Mr. Bennett will soon be reporting for duty in D.C. as a lobbyist.

That information just shot down a large part of my favorable opinion of the man.

As a democrat, this op-ed makes me long for the days when Bob Bennett represented Utah. You foolish right wing republicans replaced a competent Senator with a reactionary that thinks the United Nations is poised to take over the State of Utah.
