In a way, charlie, I fear you're going to get your wish. We'll go round and round on this for a little while and change nothing. And we'll continue to get the same results.
I'm terribly afraid that the Hutterite is right.
But I have a strong hunch he will try to keep it from being that way. Let's join him and find some GOOD solutions to a very difficult problem.
Another excellent article by Dr. Krauthammer! Good leadership involves being correct and accurate and not leading the wrong direction. Dr. Steven Covey used an excellent analogy about good leadership when he compared leaders to people who climb to the tallest tree in the rain forest, where he has clear vision and shouts down at the people busy hacking a trail through the jungle, "You are going the wrong way". This letter is good because it is accurate, something lacking in the knee jerk reaction of our government leaders on this issue.

Now M-man's trying to hook up Krauthammer with Covey? That's just sad. It's like the right tries sometimes when trying to connect the neocon cause of the day to Dr. King. Pathetic.
@ Mark. What would you do without me to castigate, insult and slander? If you have a point, make it without the personal attacks please!
It's no small irony that the one organization most concerned with responsible firearm ownership is vilified in this tragedy. How is it that getting rid of the NRA would have prevented any of the recent mass shootings? (Hint: the NRA is not responsible for the Second Amendment.) Why is it that the left is not attacking those who glorify killing - Hollywood and the video game industry? Guns don't kill - people do.
How much freedom did we trade after 911?
Hint: Box cutters are still legal?
@Pops
The NRA does not care about responsible gun ownership. They're just lobbyists for the gun manufacturers.
