So the self-selected celibate guy is criticizing gay people for going against the natural order of man and woman continuation of humanity?

The article states: "Church teaching holds that homosexual acts are "intrinsically disordered," though it stresses that gays should be treated with compassion and dignity"
like any other sick person, I suppose.

I'm sure Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Socrates, Plato,and so many others should have been considered "intrinsically disordered" when they were creating master pieces, or stating philosophical premises used by the Catholic Church.

Why churches are empty in Europe and Latin America? Why churches are beginning to lose ground in the United States? Because their message is no longer a message that uplift the spirit. But a message of condemnation and control of a society that no longer follows blind faith and fear.

Societies no longer are willing to pledge allegiance to an obsolete dictatorship of the mind.

Actually Baccus it is the fulfillment of prophesy where good would be called bad and evil good. This is one of the signs that we are given that the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is near.

You ought to really read the Book of Mormon and especially 3 Nephi. Everything in that part of the Book of Mormon is relating to almost exactly what we are facing today. Same-sex marriage does not exist in the life to come. In fact, all of the inticements of this earth are not going to be in the next life yet all of man's addictions will just no way to satisfy them. Go ahead and spread the propaganda that same-sex marriage doesn't harm the family. It will in the eternal nature of man. Until those like you start to understand this then we are marching this country down the drain quickly and effectively.

@bill
your right we now see many religions attempting to force others to be "righteous" the very thing we fought against the devil doping the first time around.

The Pope should clean up his own house before worrying about anybody elses.

Glass houses and stones and all that stuff.

Bill;

You're fulfilling your own prophecy by calling bigotry good and love/commitment evil.

@ Bill

I am sure you mean well.

But you believe in a god that is not my God. You believe in a god of doom,judgment and destruction. Yes, the Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Convenants, The Bible, The Koran,
all writings of men. Perhaps with many inspired portions.
But do you see how incompatible those views are with a "God of love and justice".

you wrote: " Until those like you start to understand this then we are marching this country down the drain quickly and effectively"

that statement shows how provincial and limited is your point of view. You sound like the Israelites when they perceived God as the god of the the country of Israel. Now you perceive this god as the god of the U.S.A.

You are welcome to believe in that god. I believe in a Heavenly Father for the world and universe, I believe in the teachings of Jesuschrist, meaning the gospels (please notice I didn't write the New Testament). and I believe in the rest of the Bible so far is translated correctly.
Relax, my perceived sins, shouldn't affect you at all.That wouldn't be loving or just.

Were in the scriptures does it say Lucifer fought for forced righteousness? His plan is still taught in several Protestant churches. Universal salvation no matter what. So the only sin is telling someone they are commiting a sin. True religion teaches what God wants them to teach. They cannot change eternal doctrine for people who choose not to follow. And because God is a God of love he gives us laws for our benefit. Does not change them to appease thaose that would rather be miserable and not follow them. Can you change the law of gravity, Avoid getting burnt touching a hot stove, or go out in the cold and not freeze without a coat? Like the laws of nature God an all caring parent gives us laws for our protection not misery.

According to the Pope, “gay marriage, like abortion… was a threat to world peace.

And this is why the Catholic Church is becoming increasingly irrelevant among the educated people of the world. Not terrorism, not environmental destruction, not nuclear weapons, not genocide, not even religious fanaticism; gay marriage… that is what will destroy us.

The speech is so all-over-the-place as to be laughable. Are gay people “going against their nature” by “choosing a social role” or are they acting on “deep seated tendencies?”

Notice that this address does not contain one ethical argument – it is all based on religious doctrine that is meant to simply end the discussion. I thank God everyday that I don’t live in a world (e.g., medieval Europe) dominated by this ignorant and intolerant ideology, and that I live in a country where the 1st amendment guarantees our government will pass no law respecting it.
