We mourn with all of the families who lost loved ones in this horrific shooting. This article was so well-written in helping us really know each individual described. Sadly there are more funerals to be held.
All teachers are in this type of category.
Utah teachers come under attack this time of year by the Legislature's actions and words. The Governor even makes token remarks about teachers and telling the world how great he is as Governor of the State of Utah.
However, teachers are a dedicated group of people in this state that don't receive enough credit for the many excellent hours and days they spend giving of themselves for our future and next generation of leaders and parents.
The kindness in 99.9% of our teachers and school administrators is evident in all the problems for hundreds of school children each school has, every day of the school year. Teachers are people just like all others that have many of the same issues as other parents. They put that aside to make the constant effort to comply with the many items they must teach and demonstrate to their students on a daily basis.
Many of these educators have leadership and teaching positions in the various other organizations that exist in our communities and provide an excellent for these same and other children to expand their horizons.
Educators make a difference but also need kindness.
As a teacher, I thank you JWB.
