The Holiday Bowl days were our good ol’ days.
Don’t confuse the Poinsetta Bowl with the Holiday Bowl.
Yes the location is the same, but that is where it ends.
The Holiday Bowl, while not a BCS bowl, is still among the most
respected of all non BCS bowls, while the Poinsetta Bowl is ranked far
below the Las Vegas Bowl and more in line with the San Francisco Bowl
and the New Mexico Bowl.
"Nelson completed a pass to Hoffman in the middle of the field, at about the 3-yard line. After catching the ball, Hoffman battled through a couple of Tulsa defenders, then stretched the ball over the goal line for the score."
Ironically, Riley was trying to pass it to the TE on that play (who was deep in the corner of the end zone) and missed him badly. Fortunately Hoff was in the vicinity of the errant throw and managed to grab it and score.
Am I hearing/reading this right? BYU might just play a young man whose record is barely above pathetic???
