RC Willey is an excellent company, and like other private companies, they should have the right to choose whether to open or close on Sunday. Their 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. opening Monday through Saturday provides plenty of opportunity for shoppers.
Likewise, the airline companies and related businesses that were open yesterday (Sunday) and transported BYU's large football contingent to San Diego should continue to have the right to choose whether to stay open on Sunday. (If BYU people like to stimulate the travel industry on Sunday, let them.)
What tramples on freedom, however, is government-enforced Sunday closing, such as the decision by Highland, Utah, voters recently to use the power of law to force businesses in the city to close on Sunday. They choose to shove their religion down everyone's throat.
I love their mention of steering clear of debt. That store is notorious for their billing practices, which include frequent errors, and screwing up people's credit scores (it happened to several people I know. I'll stick with Ikea - thanks!)
So RC WIlley's "PR" department finally got some news coverage...
RC Willey is finance company that sells furniture on the side.
