    Suppose you take our debt of 16.3 trillion, and divide it equally amongst every man, woman, and child in this country.

    We would all get about $57,030 each.

    If our liberal government really cares, why are half our people receiving a government handout?

    Tolstoy,
    read the reports about the senate dems' attitudes toward cuts and reforms, especially in entitlements. Maybe BO ought to spend more time strong-arming recalcitrant members of his own party before chastizing the other side.

    Reagan and O'Niel bought another 30 years for SS with a bi-partisan deal, but clown prince harry is beneath that.

    @mountain man and the deuce
    if all he was doing was pushing for higher taxes you would be right however as usual you ignore what he has been saying all along that we need BOTH increased revenue and cuts in spending including entitlement reforms. the rhetoric you spread failed during the election I am not sure why you think anyone is going to buy it now.

    When will this President of ours get back to Washington and start working with people instead of running around the issues. I do agree with Mountanman, Hayden, ID, that he needs to quit trying to blame everyone else for the issues and start to work to resolve them. This is his 2nd term and he now owns the good and the bad. I for one am simply tired of his old tactics to blame someone else. Either you have the way "Forward" or you need to get out of the way and let others who understand this get the job done.

    This nation has never had a president like Barrack Obama. Instead of trying to fix our problems he spends every waking moment fixing blame. Don't you know its the "rich's fault? Even when gets tax increases, it will not solve any problems with our economy; none, zero, zip, nada unless he cuts government spending and that is highly toxic to Obama's agenda to seize more power! The easily duped and high recipient voters expect no less from their leader as long as the free stuff keeps coming, at least until our economy implodes from the ever growing debt; $20 trillion by 2016! Go Obama!
