Two bright spots from last Saturday's game. Davies stayed on the floor for
most of the game. If he hadn't the score would have worse. And Carlino
played better both in terms of scoring and running the offense. The challenge is
to find one or two other players to be productive when one of your go-to guys
like Haws is bottled up or having an off game. We haven't found such
players yet. I hope we can before getting into conference play. Coach Rose has
had similar starts in years past and has been able to get the team to figure
things and get the team into the NCAA tournament. I hope he can do so with this
team as well. Go Cougs.
Everyone relax. BYU will destroy Utah because BYU is really good and Utah is
I kind of agree with motorbike here. BYU is not as good as they were last year
at this time and they really should be better. They should not look past Utah.
With a good game plan and some hot shooting they really could upset the Cougs.
But you have to admit, BYU plays pretty well in the Marriot Center and they are
hard to beat.
All you Coug fans are pretty over confident about your blowout predictions.I'm definitely not saying I think Utah will upset the cougs next week,
but BYU is not showing me that they're really that much better than the
Utes this year. How hilarious would it be to see the terrible Utes humble
the cougs on their home court? It's a long shot, but here's to
All you ute trolls are gluttons for punishment. Might want to wait until after
next week to bring the smack - just sayin'. Which bowl game your boys
playing in?? Oh, wait.
BYU helping Jabari make up his mind. Play with more heart.
I was there. It was ugly. Haws just never got in the flow of the game.
Consequently, when the ball went in to Davies, ISU triple teamed him. That
Brandon still scored 20 was amazing. Everybody else was a non-factor.
It's amazing to me that any Ute trolls would try to talk smack after losing
to Sac State and looking at another season that won't get to double digit
wins with the most patsy non-conference schedule in 50 years.Cougs
struggled today, playing a good Cyclone team and with several players having the
flu didn't help.
The WCC never looked so inviting. Well I guess byu ended up where they belong.
What a mighty fall from the MWC this athletic program has had.
I recall in the 79's , 89's, 90's seeing many Saturday afternoon
games on TV at Wyoming, Colo State, etc. and invariably the home team won by a
big margin. It is still a disappointing loss. BYU seems not to be in the top
tier, though they gave Notre Dame a fair battle.
OUCHLindon Dude.....I'm sure the Dnews would put
that headline even if the cougs won on a buzzer beater.
Two For Flinching, that would have been nice, but it wouldn't be helping us
this year, as he would have played his senior season last year. May have gotten
us to 10 wins last year, and maybe one or two wins on the road, but ultimately
wouldn't have helped us this year. Good on him for his success with his new
team, though. What do you think Coug fans, another rebuilding year?
@ Bleed CrimsonJust wait until the December 9th headline reads:"BYU Basketball: BYU steamrolls Utes"
"BYU Basketball: Iowa State thumps BYU 83-62"LOL!
Wish Clyburn would have stayed at the U.
I'm afraid BYU is just not a very good shooting team. Especially from the 1
and 2 positions. The free throw percentage, field goal percentage and turnovers
wer abysmal. BYU can't win on the road against a better-thn-average team.
BYU really misses the consistency that Hartsock brought to the team.
Hmmmmm..... I guess they failed the big test. I sure hope they do better on
their semester finals.
