I think this is one of those urban legends that church members are so fond of telling over and over..I would guess that this business owner,if so altruistic as implied, would have informed the indigents to obtain clean plates to get their food as using dirty plates spread germs to everyone..Maybe the owner had an agreement with the gentlemen to do odd jobs now and then so everyone felt like they were being treated fairly..The thing the owner did that is most admiral(if the story is true)is that he or she took scripture to heart and did not boast about their good deeds..And for the life of me,I cannot imagine a person looking on in horror while a poor person is trying to get something to eat..Whether it be by hook or crook..Was this person offended by people digging in a Mc,Donalds dumpster for a aged hamburger and some day old fries..After all the contents in the trash technically belonged to Mickey Ds..Or was it because they had the audacity to desire a nice hot meal in the witnesses presence..
