I see Sam's reasoning, but I'm not sure the facts back him up. San Antonio could hardly be called a large market, while Houston would be one of the larger ones. OK City hasn't won a title, but their market is smaller than what they used to have (Seattle). Miami certainly has no more than a middle-sized market, while Dallas" is large. The NHL is locked out, so that isn't much of an example, while NFL players seem to be easily replaced, and see the lion's share of the league's vast income going to the owners, who share revenue.
