I have a lot of respect for Jason Wasburn. With all the changes and difficult times this program has gone through, he has been a competitor and has had a great attitude through it all. I think many players would have given up or transferred, in fact many have, but he has stuck with this team through is lowest point.

I hope he can have a good season with some success I think he deserves it.

Good luck Jason and Go Utes!

Oh yeah, the U still has a basketball team. Awesome! Go Utes...

Jason is a great kid trapped in a bad situation that is NOT going to get better anytime soon. Utah will continue to be the doormat of the PAC 10.2 for many years to come in football and basketball. Kind of sad to have left the confines of the MT. West where they could get a win every now and again.

No thanks for that inaccurate comment, Down Under. As tough as this year in football and last year in basketball, the Utes have never been the doormat of the PAC-12. And turning down the PAC invite to stay in the MWC simply to get W's against meaningless programs would have been the pinnacle of stupidity.

With that said, thank you Washburn for sticking with the U. You have had every reason to bail and complain and you've done neither. You'll go far in life with the attitude you have. You're a better man than I.

I don't know what Utah's future holds. I hope it is a lot of wins in a lot of sports. But even if everything were to fall apart, being from Pullman, surely you have seen first hand that being a bad team in the PAC 12 is better than being in the Mountain West.

Too funny!

I am sure every Utah fan wishes we remained in the mountain worst conference!

I for one miss those football match ups with CSU, Wyoming, UNLV, New Mexico, etc, etc, etc. Utah had a down year in football yet competed in every one of their games except in Tempe where who knows what happened! Utah isn't far off in football and are moving in the right direction in hoops.

Last year, Utah wasn't the door mat of the basketball conference and we had maybe two actual D1 players on the active roster. Krystko has them headed in the right direction. If you've watched them play, you would know this. They look nothing like the team last year or even the team Boylen couldn't coach with decent talent. Its only a matter of time before Utah takes back the state in basketball.

Go Utes!

I'd count on that being a loooooong time if I was you. LOL!
