My first memories of Ute football were of Erroll Tucker, my favorite Ute of all time. IMO Reggie Dunn is as electrifying as Tucker.
It is really sad to see the season end so abruptly for these guys. Seems werid that there will be no U of U football in December. No bowl game, no practices to write about, no nuthin!! Hopefully, that can be corrected quickly, as early as next year. Starting a long streek of bowl games next year would be great.
Utah not only finishes 2012 with a losing record, the Utes are also losing their best defensive, offensive, and special teams players for next season: Star Lotulelei, Reggie Dunn, John White IV, Sean Sellwood, Moe Lee, DeVonte Christopher, Reggie Topps, Luke Matthews, Dave Kruger and Tevita Stevens in particular.
With Stanford and Oregon being added to the schedule next season, Whittingham will have a lot of work to do in the off season just to get the Utes back to a bowl.
Well deserved honors for both Star and Reggie. I know Star is a lock at the next level but I hope Reggie and a few others get a shot too.
I agree that Kyle and the rest of the coaching staff has their work cut out for them next year. I hope they can secure a good recruiting class that can help build some depth.
Go Utes!
