It always seems to come down to money, no matter what the problem is.
This is just another wealth re-distribution scam!
If global warming is really such a problem, why don't we make use of Yellow Stone geothermal, and do it in the least intrusive way possible? If global warming is truely a great problem, the benefit from doing this would far outweigh the minimal impact this would have on tourists.
Is the UN looking to collect a carbon tax? Or is the UN looking to solve what it sees as a real problem?
If there is to be a tax on oil, let the United States levy it and collect it for our use. I propose taxing all imported oil sufficient to pay for the millitary necessary to ensure that it remains available.
