It is nice to end the season on a win. I hope JWIV isn't hurt too bad - he has been awesome. And Dunn!!! Greatest kick returner in NCAA history! Wow!
However...
Utah struggled mightily against arguably the worst team in college football. Kyle said right after the game that Utah has a lot to work on. That is the understatement of the year. We all know the difficulty the offense has been in. There is tons of work there. But the defense was even more disappointing to me, even with the turnovers - they really don't have any excuses, especially with a top-5 NFL draft player on the line. I think those turnovers were just mostly due to poor execution on Colorado more than anything. The missed tackles were numerous - I stopped counting at about 20.
With JWIV, Star, and several offensive lineman and a few others leaving, I really can't say I am optimistic about Utah's future. USC, UCLA, Oregon, etc will always have a recruiting advantage over Utah. Hopefully Utah's coaches will work it out, but seriously I have doubts that Utah will be more more than a 6-6 team, perhaps 7-5 at best.
