If Sloan goes to the Lakers, I will lose what little faith I have left in humanity.
I think you have to put some blame on the gm for an awful Laker bench. Need to acquire good role players. Also can I just say that Dwight Howard is OVERRATED! He has been in the nba how long now and still doesn't even have any rhythm or pattern at the free throw line. Combine that with his poor attitude and all you have is a God given piece of talent with no will or effort.
It seems pretty rash to fire a head coach that has proven quite capable in the past after only a few games in the season. I guess when it's the Lakers we're speaking of, losing a few games is unacceptable. My sense is that Mike Brown should not have been the main culprit for the Lakers' struggles.
I don't know if Jerry Sloan would ever consider coaching the Lakers, but if he would, I'll give some unsolicited advice. Don't do it! It's my understanding that Jerry left the Jazz because he felt that the ownership was willing to choose a star player over their coach. The Lakers organization has proven time and time again that the coach will always be the first one to go when the team hits rocky times. I wouldn't mind seeing Jerry Sloan on the sidelines again, but he deserves better than being canned as the Lakers' management refuses to even consider the possiblity that they just might have the wrong collection of players to succeed.
I imagine Sloan gets a call just to see if he's interetested but I think he'd be low on LA's preferred canidates.
Old School at Lakers? - NOT - Sloan and his John Deer won't come because nothing to sow there.
I just thought of a new advertising slogan for the Jazz.
Utah Jazz: Losing to us gets you fired
Firing a coach after just 4 losses? Give me a break. It takes a while for new guys to gel, especially when they're all injured. It is fun to see LA in a train wreck!
